The Illinois Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) represents thousands of active and retired law enforcement officers throughout the state. As the largest law enforcement organization in Illinois, the Illinois FOP serves as a powerful advocate for the men and women who dedicate their lives to protecting our communities. Through collective bargaining, legal defense, legislative advocacy, and community outreach, the Illinois FOP provides essential resources that support officer safety, welfare, and professionalism.
The Illinois FOP is the second largest State Lodge, proudly representing over 33,000 active duty and retired police officers – more than 10 percent of all FOP members nationwide. The Illinois State Lodge, chartered in 1963, is run by a highly dedicated Board of Trustees and staff who are committed to elevating the law enforcement profession, protecting members’ rights, promoting fraternalism, and raising the value of membership. The FOP serves as the national and state legislative voice of those who dedicate their lives to protecting and serving others. In addition, ILFOP members benefit from a variety of FOP programs and services, including legal defense, accidental death and disability insurance, peer support, education scholarships, chaplaincy, education and training, and much more.
The PONetwork is proud to stand with the Illinois Fraternal Order of Police in their unwavering commitment to the law enforcement community. By promoting the interests of officers at both the state and local levels, the Illinois FOP ensures that those who serve receive the support, recognition, and representation they deserve.
We support their mission to strengthen the law enforcement profession through unity, advocacy, and training. Highlighting the Illinois FOP in our business directory is one way we help foster a connected network of public safety professionals who share a common purpose.
